How the practice works
Pick Algebra 1 and a job. Your child chooses a helper bot look, then starts the first task. No login screen stands between them and the game.
Every question is one part. A right answer snaps it into place. Miss, and the game names the likely slip in plain words, then shows the step worked out before the next question. Nothing is lost.
The difficulty tunes itself. A per-standard rating keeps your child succeeding roughly three times out of four, so comfortable skills stay comfortable while new ones stretch a little.
Missed skills come back on a spaced schedule mixed in with newer work, and every task is tagged to a standard so the progress report reads the way a teacher's does.
For parents and teachers
Sprocket City is untimed by default. A clock appears only if you switch on Challenge mode, and it never blocks progress, because timed drill is associated with math anxiety rather than fluency. Every question can be read aloud in English or Spanish, there is a calm mode with fewer effects, and an errorless mode for the youngest learners. The progress report shows mastery by standard, time on task, and which skills are due for another pass, and it prints in English or Spanish.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Every grade, job, and feature is included with no account and no personal information required. There are no ads and no in-app purchases anywhere in the game. Districts can license a hosted version with rostering; the classroom experience is the same.
Does it work on a Chromebook?
Yes. It runs in Chrome with no installation, or installs as an app from the browser menu. It works offline after the first load.
Is it in Spanish?
Yes. One tap switches every screen, question, and coaching message to Spanish, and questions can be read aloud in either language.
What about students with IEPs?
Calm mode, errorless mode, larger targets, keyboard and switch play, text scaling, spaced text, and read-aloud are all built in. The teacher dashboard exports per-standard progress monitoring data as a CSV.
